For this purpose, a model was used that considered the topography, geology, geotechnical parameters, and variables in terms of historical rainfall, which sometimes exceeded the failure thresholds defined for the area. Similarly, reliability techniques and the first order second moment probabilistic method (FOSM) were applied, which allowed the probability of failure due to seismic activity in saturated and unsaturated conditions for the calculation of the annual total failure probability to be determined. This was then used to determine and categorize the threat in Quantum GIS.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Debido a los problemas de inestabilidad de las laderas presentados en la vía que comunica la ciudad de Tunja con los municipios de Jenesano, Tibaná, Chinavita, Garagoa y Guateque, este trabajo se centró en la estimación de la amenaza por deslizamientos detonados por la precipitación y actividad sísmica en el corredor vial mencionado. Para este propósito se empleó un modelo que consideró la topografía, geología, parámetros geotécnicos y variables en términos de precipitaciones antecedentes, las cuales en ocasiones superaron los umbrales de falla definidos para la zona. De la misma manera, se aplicó técnicas de confiabilidad y el método probabilístico de primer orden segundo momento (FOSM), los cuales permitieron determinar las probabilidades de falla por actividad sísmica en condición saturada y no saturada para el cálculo de la probabilidad de falla total anual, a partir de la cual se categorizó la amenaza y se representó en Quantum GIS.]]></p></abstract>
