La misma expresión se usa en el Fedón de Platón para enumerar a los acompañantes de Sócrates en la prisión el día de su ejecución. A partir de esta repetición, se propone que la composición del Fedón toma en cuenta la oda de Baquílides. Se ofrecen argumentos para ello y se derivan las consecuencias que tiene esta línea interpretativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In Bacchylides&#8217; Oda 17 the expression &#8216;the twice seven&#8217; is used to refer to Theseus&#8217; accompanying youths on his journey to Crete. The same expression is used in Plato&#8217;s Phaedo to list Socrates&#8217; companions in prison the day of his execution. Based on this occurrence, it is proposed that the Phaedo&#8217;s composition takes into account the Bacchylides&#8217; ode. Arguments for this proposal are given and the consequences of this line of interpretation arise.]]></p></abstract>
