No obstante, la implementación de cruces con razas criollas es una opción para introducir genes que aporten adaptabilidad al medio. El objetivo de este trabajo es comparar parámetros productivos entre ganado Holstein y sus cruces con Blanco-Orejinegro, en diferentes proporciones de ambas razas. Se utilizaron 125 lactancias pertenecientes a 48 vacas de un hato antioqueño. Se ajustaron modelos mixtos de medidas repetidas, incluyendo efectos fijos de número de parto, grupo genético y grupo contemporáneo. Se usaron modelos de regresión lineal para evaluar el efecto del porcentaje de la raza criolla sobre los parámetros productivos. El grupo genético tuvo un efecto significativo sobre la producción al pico, la producción total y la producción para el día 150. El Holstein puro presentó un mayor desempeño que los animales cruzados para la producción de leche (x=6.853,48 L), la producción al pico (x=34,6 L) y la producción al día 150 (x=19,97 L). El análisis de regresión lineal mostró una tendencia leve a la disminución de productividad a medida que aumenta la proporción de Blanco-Orejinegro. Si bien utilizar animales cruzados en sistemas de lechería especializada podría disminuir los parámetros productivos del hato, también permite la introducción de genes que aporten adaptación al medioambiente y resistencia a enfermedades.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In dairy cattle systems of the high tropics in the department of Antioquia, Colombia, the use of the Holstein breed has allowed to obtain higher milk yields. But the implementation of crosses with creole breeds appears as an option to introduce genes that provide adaptability to herd animals. The aim of this study was to compare productive parameters between Holstein and their crosses with the Blanco- Orejinegro creole breed in different proportions of both races. Hundred and twenty-five lactations of 48 cows from a herd in Antioquia were used. Mixed models of repeated measures were adjusted including fixed effects of birth number, genetic group and contemporary group. Linear regression models were used to evaluate the effect of the percentage of the creole race on production parameters. The genetic group had a significant effect on peak production, total production and production at day 150. Pure Holstein showed a higher performance than crossed animals in milk production (x=6,853.48 L), in peak production (x=34.65 L) and in day 150 production (x= 19.97 L). The linear regression analysis showed a slight tendency for productivity to decrease as the pro- portion of Blanco-Orejinegro increases. Although the use of crossbred animals in specialized dairy systems can reduce productive parameters in the herd, it can also allow the introduction of genes that contribute to adaptation to the environment and to diseases resistance.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Nos sistemas de produção de leite de trópico alto no estado de Antioquia (Colômbia), a utilização da raça Holstein tem permitido obter elevados níveis de produção. Contudo, a implantação de cruzamentos com raças crioulas é uma opção para introduzir genes que contribuam com adaptabilidade para omeio. O objetivo deste trabalho é comparar parâmetros produtivos entre gado Holstein e seus cruzamentos com Blanco-Orejinegro, em diferentes proporções de ambas as raças. Foram utilizadas 125 lactações pertencentes a 48 vacas de um rebanho de Antioquia. Foram ajustados modelos mistos de medidas repetidas, que incluíam efeitos fixos de número de parto, grupo genético e grupo contemporâneo. Foram usados modelos de regressão linear para avaliar o efeito da porcentagem da raça crioula sobre os parámetros produtivos. O grupo genético teve um efeito significativo sobre o ponto máximo de produção, produção total e produção para o dia 150. O Holstein puro apresentou um maior desempenho que os animais cruzados para produção de leite (x=6.853,48 L), auge de produção (x=34,6 L) e produção para o dia 150 (x=19,97 L). A análise de regressão linear mostrou uma tendência leve à diminuição de produtividade à medida que aumenta a proporção Blanco-Orejinegro. Embora utilizar animais cruzados em sistemas de produção especializada de laticínios possa diminuir os parâmetros produtivos do rebanho, também permite a introdução de genes que contribuam com adaptação para o meio ambiente e com resistência a doenças.]]></p></abstract>
