  2. Rafael Luque (Ph.D 2005 from Universidad de Cordoba, Spain) has extensively published (over 350 peer-reviewed publications) in the areas of (nano)materials science, heterogeneous (nano)catalysis, microwave and flow chemistry, biofuels and green chemical methods in synthetic organic chemistry, filed 3 patent applications and edited 8 books as well as numerous contributions to book chapters and invited, guest, keynote and plenary lectures in scientific events worldwide.

  3. Ph.D Gwilym Peter Lewis
  4. His research focuses on the systematics, phylogenetics, biogeography, diversity and comparative biology of neotropical (mainly South American) Leguminosae, especially Caesalpinioideae (particularly Caesalpinia) and Mimosoideae. Floristic studies focus on the drylands and wet tropics of Brazil and the Andes of Ecuador, including monographic work on the large genusCaesalpinia. My research and publication is multidisciplinary (including: taxonomic revision, phylogenetic studies, reproductive biology, floral anatomy, phytochemistry and biogeography) and involves international networks and capacity-building through training and data repatriation. He provides specialist legume identification services which facilitate legume work in conservation and sustainable use, both within Kew and globally. His higher level systematic studies contribute to an improved legume phylogeny from which the legume research community is preparing a new classification of the family

  6. Fernando Trujillo (Ph.D 2001 from University of Aberdeen, UK) is director of the research associated to river dolphins, and has wrotten over 57 peer-reviewed articles.

  7. Ph. D. Hugo Alfonso Rojas Sarmiento, Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, Colombia.
  8. Hugo Rojas received his PhD degree in chemistry from Conception University of Chile (2010). Currently, he is a titular professor of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. His research interests include the development of novel methodologies in organic synthesis, principally in reduction reactions. He published 60 scientific papers in international journals.

  10. Chemist with industrial and academic experience in: Analytical chemistry, O&G analysis, catalytic process development, technical support, management small technical group, physical-chemistry characterization, catalysts formulations, scale-up heterogeneous catalysts, production support, feasibility studies on a catalytic conversion of chemicals, economical feasibility, bio-renewables chemicals production by catalysis, nickel and precious metal catalyst technologies, screening of catalytic reactions by techniques such as flow, CSTR and multi-batch reactions.

  11. Ph. D. Fabio Alexander Fajardo Molinares, Universidad Federal Do Espíritu Santo en Victoria, Brasil
  12. He holds a degree in Statistics - National University of Colombia - Bogotá (2003), a Masters in Statistics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2007) and a PhD in Statistics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2011). He is currently Associate Professor I at the Federal University of Espírito Santo. Has experience in the area of Probability and Statistics, with emphasis on Time Series, working mainly on the following topics: additive outliers, robustness, outliers, air pollution and long-memory.

  13. Ph. D. Victor Hugo Gonzalez Betancourt, University of Kansas, Estados Unidos.
  14.   He is an evolutionary biologist, writer and academic consultant. He is primarily interested in obtaining a holistic understanding of the evolutionary history and diversification of bees, the most important pollinators of flowering plants. Although he has devoted most of my time to these areas, I have also been involved in other fields of research, including evolutionary ecology, behavioral ecology, pollination biology and ethnobiology. He actively participate in a number of academic activities as well as educational events that involve government and non-government organizations to educate the public about science and conservation of native pollinators. He conducts research in North, Central and South America, as well as in Turkey and Greece.
