INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

 

Scope and policy

The original and new works proposed for publication must fulfill the following requirements:

 

Form and preparation of manuscripts

The printed text maximum length is 20 pages (letter-size in Times New Roman 12, (1.5 spaced). Submitted material must also include an electronic version of the text in Word format. The electronic articles must be sent to the journal's postal address or via e-mailto:

revff_fchbog@unal.edu.co

The articles could be written in any language though Spanish is the preferred language. All works must include a brief academic biography of the author with information about publications, current projects, institution, and post.

The first page must include, in this specific order of appearance and consecutive lines 1.5 spaced, from left to right:

Title of the article
Author's name
Institutional e-mail address
Name of institution
Department
Abstract in the original language, in Spanish, and in English maximum 15 lines long.
Five key words.
The content of the article must leave a blank double space below the key words. The content must start with an introduction.

Sections will be labeled by their headlines one space far from each other in small letters. The main headline will be typed in bold type and italics according to the following number system:

Introduction

1. main headline
1.1 headline
1.1.1 headline
2. main headline

References

Footnotes will not be used for bibliographical quotation; they would rather be used to clarify information that cannot be included within the main text. The number representing the footnote will be directly attached as a super index at the end of the term or the text. Acknowledgements and further explanations must be preceded by an asterisk and they must be the first footnote included within the text.

Examples requiring numbers will appear separated one space form each other:

1). First example.
2). Second example.

Textual quotes shorter than three lines will be between quotation marks and bibliographical references must include the author's last name and year of publication in parentheses followed by colon and page number. E.g. Martínez (2005:22-45). Textual quotes longer than three lines will make a whole independent paragraph organized to the left and in smaller font size than the rest of the content. In case of consecutive quotation to the same page it must appear as Ibidem , in italics. In case of consecutive quotation to a different page it must appear as Ibid followed by page number.

Bibiography must appear at the end of the text double space below the final period with the title: References, in bold type. It will be organized in alphabetical order of author's last name and first edition year in parentheses. Book titles will be typed in italics according to the following model:
