The Journal of the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (ACCEFYN) is a multidisciplinary quarterly journal that publishes high quality original research articles.

The journal publishes scientific articles in the disciplines of Biomedical Sciences, Behavioral Sciences (philosophy, psychology, anthropology, and sociology), Natural Sciences (Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Ecology), Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (Geology, Environmental Sciences) and Mathematics.

Its abbreviated title is Rev. acad. colomb. cienc. exact. fis. nat., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

It is included in several national and international directories and indexing services like Actualidad Iberoamericana, Agris, CIRS (International Center for Scientific Research), Current Mathematical Publications, EBSCO, Dialnet, Historia Mathematica, Index Kewensis, Latindex, Mathematical Reviews, MathSciNet (on line data base), PERIODICA, SciELO Colombia, Online Computer Library Center – OCLC, Zentralblatt für Mathematik, Zoological Record, RLG. Within the Colombian citation system, the journal is register in Publindex (The Journal index Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación, Colciencias).

The first issue was published in December 1936, year of the official creation of the National Academy, led by Jorge Álvarez Lleras. The journal has been edited 41 volumes since then.
