Abstract

This text explores the inconsistencies in the local laws thought from the biomedicine, about traditional, alternative and complementary medicine. For it, explores the cultural biography of a specifc plant in the community of Bosa in Bogota, comparing it with the state ordinances dedicated to regulate their commercialization and consumption. It concludes questioning the budgets with which they seek to be captured these practices, showing their conceptual and practical limitations, and wondering for the global, economic and social factors that justify this regulation.
