Abstract

OROZCO ABAD, Iván; PERALTA GONZALEZ, Laly Catalina  and  SANCHEZ GOMEZ, Gonzalo. THREE FOOT SOLDIERS CONFESS THEIR CRIMES: REFLECTIONS ON THE TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE SCENE. anal.polit. [online]. 2022, vol.35, n.105, pp.179-209.  Epub Dec 04, 2023. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v35n105.107754.

This text is an approach to the difficulties of assuming judicial responsibilities for atrocious acts. Throughout its pages, it highlights the complexities of the credibility of confessions, not only in the eyes of judges but, above all, from the point of view of victims and society. Confession is not only an individual act but also a social one. It is governed by what the confessor says and what others say: experts, observers, and analysts.

Keywords : testimonies; transitional justice; memory; perpetrator; victims.
