Abstract

The paper presents the results of investigation conducted with the CIGA Research Group on mechanisms Cooperation with neighboring countries Colombia. When an analysis of the dynamics Border in Latin America is made, it is necessary to consider two particular features of the region. The first is that capital cities, the centers of power and political bodies where decisions are made, are far from Border Areas why the majority of decisions and: therefore, public policies do not respond to the needs and requirements of these regions; The second is that there remains a population diversity processes Border Integration and Development becomes more complex. At least it is, on the border of Colombia with Venezuela and Peru, which will be the object of study of this document.
