Resumen
PEDRAZA-YEPES, Cristian-Antonio; HIGUERA-COBOS, Oscar-Fabián y MORENO-TELLEZ, Carlos-Mauricio. Mechanical characterization of a red cedar-low density polyethylene composite material. Ing. compet. [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.2, e22712078. Epub 29-Mayo-2022. ISSN 0123-3033. https://doi.org/10.25100/iyc.v24i02.12078.
The use of natural fibers as reinforcement in composite materials has become a global trend, but the use is very limited, and even less the production of these materials locally. This work is a experimental analysis conducted to determine the behavior of the mechanical properties of the composite made of LDPE-Wood Fiber, specifically resistance to tension, compression and bending, and evaluates the influence of the variation of the constituent elements of the compound and the origin of the wood fiber.
