This article presents findings derived from the doctoral research titled "Teachers' initial training in long distance methodologies in Colombia". This study is framed in the socio-historical approach of Lev Vygotsky, who analyzes the development of the higher mental processes that cause learning from the internalization of specific social practices. The qualitative research and the study of multiple case generate results, which help to characterized what would be a pedagogic device for the improvement of the quality of teachers' initial training in long distance methodologies.
