Resumen
SERRANO-AMAYA, José Fernando. "Gender Ideology": Authoritarian Populism and Sexual Politics. Nómadas [online]. 2019, n.50, pp.155-173. ISSN 0121-7550. https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n50a10.
The document argues that the increasing use of the term 'gender ideology' in public scenarios by conservative groups in the struggle for political power and state control is an element that articulates populist and totalitarian politics in terms of gender and sexuality. The text explains the contents and operating methods of such terms. Finally, it affirms that the topic needs an explanation in its relationship with global and local gender and sexuality politics. Otherwise, criticisms in relation to the term run the risk of staying solely as a conjunctural analysis or becoming a new object of academic work.
