On October 18th 2019, the Chilean population shouted: "It's not about 30 pesos, it's about 30 years", suggesting a dormant period. This article proposes an analysis of the decades that followed the ending of the dictatorship through three novels by author Alvaro Bisama. It establishes, first, the body of work in order to establish its singularities regarding its relation to the period represented. Second, it attempts to understand the way these texts elaborate a determining space-time framework for the biographical articulation of the characters. Finally, it aims to outline what mechanisms are available to express a link between the subject and writing.
