BARRAGAN-GIRALDO, Diego Fernando  e  GUERRERO-LUCERO, Maura Andrea. Franciscan pedagogy inherited capital, a reading from the Bourdieu’s field theory. Franciscanum [online]. 2023, vol.65, n.179, pp.15-15.  Epub 16-Out-2023. ISSN 0120-1468.  https://doi.org/10.21500/01201468.5948.

From Bourdieu’s field theory, the article aims to establish some relevant categories of understanding Franciscan Pedagogy, exploring the notion of inherited capital. The research was developed with a qualitative approach in a Pedagogical Action Research process, where teachers representing 19 professional programs of a Colombian university participated.

The work recognizes and proposes some elements for the configuration of inherited capital: faith in God, pre-eminence of the person, fraternity, freedom, and intuition. From an integrating perspective, an innovative route of study of the Franciscan pedagogy is drawn from the notion of field, from the stories and experiences of the participants in the study, to promote the practical knowledge that generates the transformation of practices.
