Introduction: In this article, a conceptual reflection is made on those things common to any kind of psychotherapy. Objective: We propose some basic elements of thinking regarding psychotherapy. Method: A theoretical analysis of different concepts: to look after, thinking, happiness, we, frontier, past, will and conversation. Conclusion: With the proliferation of therapeutic approaches, it is necessary to consider a theoretical corpus that may provide us with the foundations for the exercise of any therapy.
