Abstract

VALENZUELA-ECHEVERRI, Carlos Eduardo. Tradition, Knowledge and School: A Relationship in Crisis. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2023, n.58, pp.141-150.  Epub Jan 01, 2023. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num58-17124.

The underlying thesis that I subscribe to in this article takes for granted a crisis regarding the contemporary school and its bond with tradition and knowledge. That said, I will try to characterize the status of that crisis. For this, I will seek, first, to historicize or, at least, to place in time what forms of the school promoted a pedagogical bond that found shelter in the tradition and the transfer of its inheritance, so such discernment will later contribute to clarify, not the moment of emergency of the crisis —that I attribute to the current school situation—, but its condition of possibility and its incidence in the lack of interest in knowledge and its transmission.

Keywords : education; teaching; pedagogy; teacher; bond; transmission.
