Against the approaches of positivistic criminology and securitization perspectives, that reduce Latin Kings organization to a gang phenomenon, i.e., as a deviated juvenile group, this research inquires into the historical, social and cultural conditions that have allowed the emergence of this group, and its permanence in deeply unequal and excluding contexts.
