Abstract

This paper deepens in the complexity of the production of historical truth, particularly in its testimonial expression. It addresses the speeches towards the production of this kind of truth inscribed on 1) politics of the discourse, 2) hegemony of experts and 3) the diversity of versions enrolled in power weaves. It concludes that for Latin American countries the field of historical truth has become an area of great social relevance. In such a context, the testimony has become a tool to socially challenge the truth.
