Abstract

GARCIA, Jesús Alejandro. "Life is what is at risk": ontology and politics of an uprising. Nómadas [online]. 2017, n.46, pp.95-109. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article analyzes the uprising of the Nasa Indigenous People against the Colombian Army, which took place on Berlin Mount, located in the North of Cauca in 2012. The document argues that the uprising aforementioned questions both the primacy of humanity and the instrumental rationality are ideas through which the hegemonic tradition of modernity understands the existing relations between life and politics. The article seeks to contribute to the understanding of the ethical complexity of the most radical political methods of the Nasa Indigenous Movement.

Keywords : Uprising; modernity; Nasa Indigenous People; life; politics.
