This study was done in two services of Caritas Diocesana de Barcelona: The Centre Obert Glamparetes and the Casal de Joves (Youth Community Centre) Llops Taga. Both serve teenagers and young people from immigrant families. The aims of this study were to know the level of integration of the sons and daughters of immigrant families, identify the risk factors and protective factors and propose improvements to bring a better integration of this population. As a result of the investigation it’s clear that the intervention of these resources is a preventive factor in situations of social risk (in the legal, family, educational, formative, economic, health and ethnic identity contexts) at the same time as it raises protective factors. Equally, we can highlight the role played by social work in the prevention of social risks within this group.
