This research was to understand the role of bystanders in situations of bullying victimization, characterizing the role and focus its representations and emotional elements Using qualitative methodology was applied instrument Efectos Psicológicos Roles Intimidación Escolar EPRIE (Marmolejo & Cuevas, 2010), based on the Scan-Bullying (Del Barrio, Almeida, Van Der, Barrios and Gutierrez, 1999), to a sample of 32 students, 16 belonging to public school and 16 private one the city of Buga, Valle del Cauca. The information was obtained through focus groups. We found different kinds of bystanders, who adopt either role according to certain conditions victimized also, found that most of its representations encourage the perpetuation of bullying, to admire the group of bullies position and in turn underestimate the status of victims.
