This paper discusses the pedagogic function of the systematic approaches to language teaching and didactics it takes into account the results of some research to rethink the nature and the functions of language, in order to support the pedagogical development based on four processes: thought, interaction, reading, and writing. It focuses on the importance of thought competences in the development of the skill of writing.
