Abstract

This article propose the construction of the category of analysis to understand the transformation of Colombian territory under the extractive model, with special emphasis on the oil industry. This paper make an analytical review of the core concepts that shape the category of "territorial transformations". To do this, the article develops four main concepts: globalized market development, descentralization, intern armed conflict and social and political resistances. Thus, this article takes as case study the region of Putumayo to explain how from its territorial and historical dynamics is developed the category of analysis purposed.
