This paper presents a pre-feasibility design of an improved water supply alternative for the municipality of Vigía del Fuerte-Antioquia (Colombia). The design was based on the initial evaluation of the water supply and water quality of the Ñagaradó tributary. This stream proved to have a high potential and made the design of the water supply alternative feasible. The main elements of the system, such as the pumping station, the pipeline, the storage tanks, and several scenarios for the distribution network, were dimensioned in this work.
