Abstract

FRANCO, Alvaro. CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES IN ADD. rev.latinoam.bioet. [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.2, pp.100-105. ISSN 1657-4702.

People categorized with the condition known as "hyperactive child" (parents, educators, clinical and health systems), there are different views In Its relation with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Apart from Its existence or not being controversial: Is ADD a mental disorder or a mere social phenomena? But facing either reality Is the question as to which should be the type of attention given to children with difficulties In the academic system? Should the child with ADD be adapted to the school system, or the school system to the children with difficulties? Bring the child with ADHD to school or school system to children with difficulties? As a final note, we should ask ourselves the most debatable question: Should medication be used or not?

Keywords : Attention Deficit; biopolitics; medicine; bioethics of ADD.
