Abstract

RUIZ-TORRES, Alex J.; VILLAFANE RODRIGUEZ, Camille  and  PENA-HEVIA, Juan Antonio. Thematic characterization of 37 academic journals in administrative sciences published in Latin America. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2018, n.44, pp.132-154. ISSN 1657-6276.  https://doi.org/10.14482/pege.44.10465.

This research defines certain characteristics, by chance or by choice, of a group of Latino-American academic journals in the field of business administration which publish articles primarily in the Spanish language. The journals are characterized individually and then as a group. From an individual perspective, journals are classified by their volume and by the variety of themes. From an integrated perspective, we analyze the topics of higher and lower relevance, and their relationship with the type of journal. Although no classification can be exhaustive, this work aims to reflect on the convenience of specific journals based on the researcher’s interestand the themes being explored. This article will assist business administration researchers on determining which journals are more pertinent to their research work.
