Resumen
MANZANELLI, Macarena. From “Babe, You Are Walking Around with your Eyes Shut” To “Do not Forget, I Long for your Comeback”. Theoretical-Practical Reflections on Fieldwork Experiences. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2022, n.43, pp.269-294. Epub 28-Mar-2022. ISSN 1794-2489.
This article reflects upon the engaged collaborative ethnographic praxis drawing from the following axes-questions: Which roles do we researchers play in our relations with their interlocutors? what affective, political and implications and commitments are built?; and what does the ethnographic work contributes to the situations of oppression endure by people we are working with? I drew from my research journey when inquiring in processes of identity shaping and territorial fight of two Diaguita peoples, in what is known today as the province of Tucumán (Argentina), in the period between 2015-2019. I identify several different moments in my fieldwork: From situations of strangeness to getting acquainted and engage in the collaboration. I conclude here that collaborative engaged ethnographies are a key dimension of the whole process of knowledge production, since they are experiential singular ways to be, think, and feel with others, with the potential to visibilize and change oppressive situations.
