Abstract

SILVA RUIZ, Alexander  and  BARRERA, Eduard Andrés. Print in the Memory Creation Lab Art-Education-Historical Memory. Pensam. palabra obra [online]. 2020, n.24, pp.82-99.  Epub May 16, 2021. ISSN 2011-804X.  https://doi.org/10.17227/ppo.num24-12142.

The academy is nourished by stories, experiences, art, and dignity; The Laboratory of Artistic Creation "Print in the memory" is the way in which an explicit relationship between art and historical memory has been established from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. It is about the poetic narrative of the images intertwined with written fragments about life in an arts workshop every Wednesday, a training process carried out during 2019, with the Mothers of Soacha and Bogotá (Mafapo: Madres de Falsos Positivos), and the participation of the research seedbed named Creación Arbitrio.

This story has as its axis the experimentation of the woodcut printing technique based on situated knowledge. This is a knowledge that is produced and generated on the stage of the arts workshop, understanding the workshop as a space to inhabit and the exercise of woodcut printing as a metaphor for the creation of memory, we print to remember, to point out, to reproduce, to vindicate, resignify, and create.

Keywords : woodcut printing; historical memory; MAFAPO; false positive cases; creation labs.
