Abstract

TORRES PERDIGON, Andrea. Ricardo Piglia and Roberto Bolaño: Tradition and Narrativity. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.6, pp.23-41. ISSN 2145-8987.

This article investigates the relationship between a concept of power and the literary tradition, as it is conceived by Ricardo Piglia and Roberto Bolaño in their critical essays. We analyze in the first place in what sense this subject has already been studied regarding Bolaño and Piglia, in order to question how one can speak of literary tradition as a form of power. Then we study the critical judgment of figures such as Roberto Arlt and Jorge Luis Borges within the critical texts of Piglia and Bolaño. At the end we show how this critical approaches to the tradition point out fundamental characteristics of their idea of literature and of a literary form developed by both of them: sequential narrativity

Keywords : Bolaño; Piglia; Artl; Borges; tradition.
