The article is a partial product of my doctoral dissertation in Human and Social Sciences from the National University of Colombia. This article will show how in the construction of Facebook profiles created by young university students from Bogotá, a game can be seen going through dynamics of authenticity and simultaneously, idealization of itself. Simultaneously, we will show how this game is framed in a logic that Foucault would call an ethic of self-care, that supposes a concern about the forms of self-construction. The methodology was qualitative, using the interview, virtual ethnography, and analysis of profile photos.
