Abstract

VARGAS ALDANA, Claudia María. "Tinanica", a Multi-Species Tangle: Notes on the Care and Defense of a Wetland in Southern Bogotá, Colombia. Trab. soc. [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.2, pp.61-85.  Epub Feb 22, 2023. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v24n2.98356.

In this article I approach from the interface between multispecies ethnography, feminism, and the social studies of science the multispecies entanglements that emerge from the care practices of the Tibanica wetland in the town of Bosa. In other words, I return to the relational frameworks between different species that contribute to the sustainability of this ecosystem. Thus, I affirm through ethnographic descriptions of Tinanica and the process of germinating in the water that these entanglements that emerge from care allow the appropriation of the territory and defense of the wetland by Tina Fresneda and the Germinamos en Tibanica collective.

Keywords : care practices; defense of the territory; multispecies entanglement; territorial appropriation; Tinanica; Tibanica wetland.
